Go into town and you'll see all the lights. I sometimes think we start earlier to get everyone into that mood.
I've posted a photo I took a few days ago, my window boxes filled with pots of poinsiettas. I'll plant them after the holidays.
For me Christmas and holidays have become bittersweet. Years of traditions from a big Italian family, the baking, cooking and sharing of stories around my parents dining room table. Good memories tied in a bow and put away but never forgotten .
Another time I'll tell you about Christmas and 'pirates gold'......
yes, it went together. BJ
Dear Barbra Joan I wish you a Merry Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anamaria, It's nice to hear from you and I send my hugs, and wishes for your best Christmas ever !! Barbra Joan
ReplyDeleteI so love family stories, BJ. I imagine yours are full of life and laughter and even more stories from your relatives. I know the bittersweet feelings too. Your poinsettias are beautiful and look so perfect in the window boxes!
ReplyDeleteAlthough Christmas is bittersweet with those we miss forever, I wish you a happy time with friends and sweet pets. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas Day!!! =)
