Christmas in Florida and More.

Christmas is much the same everywhere, decorations, cards,  gifts.  Here in Florida is no different, it looks, feels, and smells like Christmas.  Sometimes the weather will dip down into a chilly 60 degrees at night , but a few hours into the day it's warmed by the sun.
Go into town and you'll see all the lights.  I sometimes think we start earlier to get everyone into that mood.
I've posted a photo I took a few days ago, my window boxes filled with pots of poinsiettas. I'll plant them after the holidays.
For me Christmas and holidays have become bittersweet.  Years of traditions from a big  Italian family, the baking, cooking and sharing of stories around my parents dining room table. Good memories tied in a bow and put away but never forgotten .
Another time  I'll tell you about  Christmas and 'pirates gold'......
yes, it went together.   BJ

  1. Dear Barbra Joan I wish you a Merry Merry Christmas!

  2. Thank you Anamaria, It's nice to hear from you and I send my hugs, and wishes for your best Christmas ever !! Barbra Joan

  3. I so love family stories, BJ. I imagine yours are full of life and laughter and even more stories from your relatives. I know the bittersweet feelings too. Your poinsettias are beautiful and look so perfect in the window boxes!

  4. Although Christmas is bittersweet with those we miss forever, I wish you a happy time with friends and sweet pets. Take care.

Your comments are very much appreciated and I'll be returning the visit. !! BJ
