Mixed Media

Playing with paper seems to be what I want to do these days. If I were painting (as I should be) to get ready for some upcoming exhibits, I would be posting on my 'Art'  blog.
This was done on an 8x10" canvas. It's a sewing theme, you know I always do a subject of some sort.  Pictures, lace, buttons and I always  like to include text of some kind..
The  wrapped canvas was supposed to be for acrylic, which I was always terrible with and still am ... Times running out so I don't think acrylic will be for me.  see ya,  BJ

Playing with Paper !!

Thanks to my friend Nancy from  Adventure with Paint  this is the mess I'm making today.  All her fault.
A new technique  on her blog so out came all the papers, the glue the paints.
If and when this turns into something I'll post it on Art Hearts Place.. but for today at least  it kept my mind from other things called ' LIFE ' ?.
Thanks Nanc, you didn't know you helped me today, but you did..   Next stop for us The Garden Cafe for Peanut Butter Pie... Nancy is a blogger that lives in Florida so we have actually met a few times.     BJ
Bits and pieces of paper, cloth and other 'stuff' being lowered onto a canvas board that's been painted with acrylic. paint.

My Hairy Kid Angie. The other part of my team, and #1 one of the Cornpone Gang of 4.  Always right there. She snores when she sleeps and is now 16 years old.. .   BJ

What Paper Beads?

Last week someone asked me about making  paper beads .. Yes , I  have that kind of mind.   Here... there and sometimes nowhere !  No end to my wanna do's..  Life,  Love, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. !!!  alright so I changed it a bit !!!
Oh  yes,  back  to paper beads.  You can google and get tons of sites that tell you all the instructions .. too easy but addictive. I use them on my handmade journals.

I've  posted a picture of a small part of my shelf above my work space.  Collector of all things ...on the chair,  a flower I made of clay then  painted... dried hydrangea,  the heart shaped honey comb, small book of watercolors, white feather, heart shape made from tiny rosebuds that someone gave me long ago.  I post them here on 'Journey' as I'm still on the journey and feeling a bit nostalgic. My Angie  girl is not feeling well. Need I say more?
 My other blog is Here!
