My outfit for the day! Ok.. I wore more than this!
Some of the shops
The Art Lounge Gallery
It was the Art Walk... in downtown Plant City coinciding with the Antique Car Show.. There were maybe a dozen of us and it was mostly to generate interest in the arts sponsered by the Art Lounge Gallery there on the sidewalk in the center of town.
What fun to be out there with my kind of people, and every one as warm and friendly as can be.. The only showings I'd ever done was at monthly art guild meetings.... but this was different. And you had to be working on something while it was going on...I'm posting a few pictures of my town as some think I live in a big city,, hardly !! so this is what a small Florida town looks like ..
Congratulations, Barbra, well done and well deserved!
ReplyDeleteso glad you had fun!

ReplyDeleteThanks for you comment about the robin's eggs. Keeping fingers crossed for her.
We don't live far from Plant City and I have never been there. We must make and effort to go sometime, it looks like a neat little town.

ReplyDeleteI am so proud of you, Barbara Joan! My big putting myself out there is done via blogging. I just don't think I could do what you've done, but then again, I don't have your wonderful talents. And thanks for clearing that up about wearing more than the apron and hat. I suspect you'd have drawn a HUGE crowd if that had been it! LOLOL

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Sounds like it was a successful first trip "out there" with your art.
